NORMAN — After an increase in 2016, felonies filed in Cleveland County declined in 2017, but misdemeanors increased.

Statistics gathered from the Cleveland County court clerk’s office revealed there were 1,657 felonies filed in 2017, compared to 2,028 in 2016, and 2,149 misdemeanors, compared to 2,007 in 2016.

One reason for that could be due to 58 percent of Oklahomans approving State Question
