Cade Cunningham and his family are already celebrating his being taken first overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. But a group of former teammates and lifelong fans got a head start 1,400 miles away.

At a draft watch party held at Stillwater staple Eskimo Joe’s all eyes were glued to the screen as Adam Silver announced Cade as the newest Detroit Piston.

But Cade’s head coach was on-hand in his own hometown of Brooklyn to celebrate in person.

Elsewhere, Cade was cheered on by those with OSU connections, including former Cowboys assistant Erik Pastrana.
