After a road loss in Ames dropped them to the middle of the rankings, the Cowboys are just outside the Top 10 after their dominant 55-3 win over Kansas.
OSU is ranked No. 11 in this week’s AP poll, a four-spot improvement over last week. The Cowboys are also No. 11 in the AFCA Coaches poll.

That makes for three Big 12 teams ranked and all three in the Top 15. Oklahoma remained stationary after its dominant win over Texas Tech, and Baylor climbed two spots after handing Texas its third-straight L.
Future conference foes Houston and BYU both moved up in the rankings after victories on Saturday, and Cincinnati remained at No. 2 after beating up on Tulane.
The first 2021 ranking by the College Football Playoff committee will be announced on Tuesday, with implications for OSU and the future of the Big 12. What does the committee do with an 8-0 Cincinnati that has been in the Top 4 of both major polls for a month?
