The Cowboys are trying to bring another pair of brothers to Stillwater.
TJ Shanahan announced an Oklahoma State offer on Tuesday. A four-star offensive lineman in the 2023 class, Shanahan plays his high school ball at Westlake High in Austin, Texas.
Listed at 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, Shanahan is the No. 115 prospect in his class, according to the composite rankings. He already has a long list of offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas. Despite continued success on the field, Oklahoma State doesn’t win a ton of recruiting battles against that list of schools, but there is a variable that makes Shanahan’s recruitment interesting — his brother.
Oklahoma State offered Michael Shanahan, TJ’s older brother, last week. Michael is a Tennessee-Martin transfer who was an All-Ohio Valley Conference selection this offseason.
The Cowboys have three committed prospects in their 2023 class in athlete Kam Franklin, defensive lineman Jaedon Foreman and offensive lineman Jack Endean. With his current composite score of 0.9497, TJ Shanahan would be the highest-ranked offensive line commit in OSU history if he were to pick the Pokes.
