OSU Bullets
• Great piece with a wish list of basketball transfers that could benefit the Cowboys this winter
• D1 Baseball Rankings has the Pokes slipping a spot but hanging in the top-five after going 2-1 over the weekend
• Football scheduling note – for those anticipating that Arizona State coming to Stillwater in the preseason would be the toughest game the Pokes see before conference play, think again.
There was a point in time not long ago where Arizona State appeared to be the clearcut answer to this question for Oklahoma State, but not anymore after the disastrous offseason Sun Devils have endured — some project Herm Edwards’ group to be a three-win team in 2022 — as a result of the NCAA recruiting investigation into the program.
• Updates from spring football:
– Receiver Braydon Johnson returns with new perspective after injury
– What Mike Gundy had to say after practice
• This nugget from Bill Haisten on OSU’s rapidly increasing athletic budget was wild:
In 2009-10, the OSU budget amounted to $46.9 million.
In 2021-22, the budget is $86 million.
As Holder retired from OSU’s athletic director position last year, he was succeeded by Chad Weiberg. From Weiberg, there is this somewhat stunning report: For the 2022-23 fiscal year, it is expected that OSU’s athletics budget will be fairly close to $100 million.
• Good for Keylan Boone to see him getting so much interest:
Non-OSU Bullets
• Bucket list hikes in the US
• Communication on all levels
• Eight reminders for this Holy Week (faith-based)
