The WWE announced a new NIL program last week titled “Next In Line” designed to “enhance the talent development process through collaborative partnerships with college athletes from diverse athletic backgrounds.”
One of the WWE’s first signees is NCAA Champion and Oklahoma State 197-pounder AJ Ferrari.
Here is what Ferrari can expect being part of this program.
“All athlete partnerships will feature access to the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., in addition to resources across the organization including brand building, media training, communications, live event promotion, creative writing, and community relations. Upon completion of the NIL program, select athletes may earn an exclusive opportunity to be offered a WWE contract.”
I’m not sure how much Ferrari needs any training on building his own brand, but it’s interesting, and not necessarily surprising, that Ferrari has taken this step.
He’s already shown intentions to go into MMA following college, as well, and could potentially work some sort of crossover career in both.
