Three-star offensive line recruit Bray Lynch, one of OSU’s top targets in the 2022 cycle from Austin, Texas, will make his college commitment on Friday between Duke, Indiana and OSU.
OSU is positioned to potentially secure his commitment and after losing Kelvin Banks to Oregon and Jacob Sexton to OU within the last month, it’d be much-needed momentum for the Pokes as they continue to build their 2022 class.
It’s no guarantee, however, with Indiana gaining traction with him in the 247Sports crystal ball and his decision looking like a legitimate toss-up. Here is where we think he lands on Friday.
Marshall Scott: Indiana
For a kid from Texas with a Top 3 of OSU, Duke and Indiana, OSU seems like the obvious choice. However, with those three options, it shows Lynch isn’t afraid to move farther from home. I’ll go with the Indiana smoke.
Kyle Cox: Oklahoma State
I predict that Lynch stays closer to home, despite some recent momentum for the Hoosiers. With OSU, Lynch can remain in Big 12 country, and even get some payback on his hometown Longhorns who did not extend an offer.
Kyle Boone: Oklahoma State
Indiana is trending right now as the most likely landing spot for Lynch, who picked up two crystal ball predictions Thursday for him from two accurate analysts. But OSU feels like it has for a long time now been the frontrunner, and I’m not going to put a ton of stock into some last-minute momentum — even if there might be something to it. Ultimately, OSU becoming the first power conference school to offer Lynch feels like it’s a huge factor. OSU was first to believe in his skills, and I think it’ll be the one who gets to put them to use.
