Series History

As Kyle Boone pointed out Thursday, the Cowboys hold a 33-19-3 record against the Cyclones since the programs first met in 1926.

Mike Gundy’s Cowboys played Iowa State in his first season at the helm in Stillwater. The Pokes lost that game 37-10 after Al Pena threw for 203 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions. Gundy’s first win against ISU came in the teams’ next meeting, in 2008. That 59-17 OSU victory saw Dez Bryant catch nine passes for 171 yards and four touchdowns. Zac Robinson threw for 395 yards and five touchdowns. Gundy is 10-3 against the Cyclones as a coach.
