The Cowboys still have everything to play for as TCU comes to town.

Oklahoma State is in a driver’s seat to get to the Big 12 championship game with three regular season games to play. The Pokes also have a shot at the College Football Playoff after being ranked 10th in the most recent CFP poll. But first, the Cowboys have to deal with the Horned Frogs this weekend.

Series History

Oklahoma State carries a 16-13-2 series record coming into Saturday’s game, but the Horned Frogs have walked away victorious in three of their past four against the Cowboys.

These teams first met in 1915 in Fort Worth, where Oklahoma State won 13-0. The series held its first game in Stillwater in 1921, a 28-21 OSU victory.

TCU picked up its first win in the series in 1922, winning 22-14 in Forth Worth.

These teams have also met on neutral turf twice. The first was their 1943 meeting in Oklahoma City, where TCU blanked OSU 25-0. OSU would get its revenge, though, winning 34-0 in the 1945 Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

The Blonde Bomber Bob Fenimore rushed 21 times for 178 yards and two touchdowns that day. He was also 6-for-13 while throwing the ball for 136 yards. It was a dominant performance as OSU outgained TCU 494 yards to 105 yards.
