Before 2010, the Cowboys were just 2-22 against Texas, making the overall series record of 9-26 sound much better for the Cowboys.
Mike Gundy’s Pokes went on a 4-0 spree against Texas from 2015 to 2018, but now Texas enters Saturday’s matchup having won the past two in the series.
These teams first met in 1916 in San Antonio, the only meeting outside of Stillwater or Austin, where Texas won 14-6. OSU’s first win in the series came in 1944, a 13-8 win in Austin. These teams didn’t meet in Stillwater until 1997, where OSU picked up win No. 2 in the series with a 42-16 victory.
