NORMAN — The No. 1 overall seed Oklahoma softball team started the NCAA Norman Regional with a bang Friday night.
WACO, Texas – Tyler Hardman and Breydon Daniel both went 3 for 5 with a home run and two RBIs to lead the Oklahoma baseball team to a 10-6 win over Baylor as the Sooners evened the series Friday at Baylor Ballpark.

Also, the men’s basketball team will play in the Myrtle Beach Invitational this fall.

Tonight, the No. 1 seeded Oklahoma Sooners softball team officially begins its quest toward the 2021 Women’s College World Series, and that journey starts at Marita Hynes Field in the Norman Regional. Up first for Patty Gasso and her top-ranked OU squad are the Morgan State Bears out of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN3.

Before the contest between Oklahoma and Morgan State gets underway, the Wichita State Shockers and Texas A&M Aggies are set to open the Norman Regional at 5 p.m. CT.
The winners of the two games on Friday will face each other in the first of three games on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT, while the two losing teams from Friday will play in an elimination game at 5:30 p.m. CT. Then, the loser of Saturday’s first game will take on the winner of the second game in another elimination game at 8 p.m. CT. That game’s winner will then take on the winner of Saturday’s first game on Sunday at 3 p.m. CT. If necessary, a regional-deciding rematch is scheduled for Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. CT.
The winner of the Norman Regional will face the winner of the Seattle Regional on Thursday, May 27 through Sunday, May 30, with the highest-seeded team serving as the host of that subsequent super regional.
