Happy Monday, friends and fans!

This weekend in the NFL, several former Oklahoma Sooners made big plays for their respective teams. In one of Sunday’s more highly anticipated matchups, Baker Mayfield helped guide the Cleveland Browns to a 49-38 shootout victory on the road over the Dallas Cowboys .

On the day, the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner completed 19 of 30 pass attempts for 165 yards and a pair of touchdowns. More importantly, Mayfield now has the Browns sitting at 3-1 for the first time since 2001.

Kenny Stills was the recipient of a sweet 24-yard scoring laser on fourth down from Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson . Unfortunately, Houston lost the game to the Minnesota Vikings , 31-23, and remain winless in 2020.

Jalen Hurts spelled Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz a few times on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers . He didn’t record any passing statistics, but in three rushing attempts, Hurts picked up 18 yards, including this 14-yard gainer on third and a mile. Philly went on to win, 25-20.

Don’t forget to check out Allen’s post on the adversity Lincoln Riley and this OU football program currently faces . After falling to 0-2 to begin Big 12 play, there are clearly more than a few red flags that need immediate addressing, but looking back to before the season began, could this surprising start actually have been expected?

Cleveland Browns starting running back Nick Chubb suffered an MCL injury during his team’s 49-38 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. On Monday, head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Chubb would be placed on IR, meaning he will miss at least the next month of the season. Fortunately, surgery is not required and he could return at some point in November.

On Sunday, Ryan Mutombo , the son of Basketball Hall of Fame center Dikembe Mutombo , announced his verbal commitment to the Georgetown Hoyas . With this decision, the 6’11” youngster is following in his father’s footsteps by playing his college ball at the historic university in the nation’s capital .

Immediately following the Los Angeles Rams ’ 17-9 victory over the winless New York Giants on Sunday, L.A. CB Jalen Ramsey engaged in a fist fight with NY WR Golden Tate . Allegedly, Ramsey left Tate ’s sister while she was pregnant for another woman, so one can assume this is a personal matter that spilled over into the work environment. Possible punishment from the league has not yet been levied.
