Oklahoma will face TCU at 11 a.m. CT on ABC.

This morning, kick-off time and TV info was officially announced for the Oklahoma Sooners ’ upcoming contest against the TCU Horned Frogs . On Oct. 24, OU will square off against the Fightin’ Gary Pattersons at 11 a.m. CT and will be televised on ABC.

Both Oklahoma and TCU are off this Saturday, giving each side extra time to prepare for this matchup. After a season opening, non-conference game with SMU was canceled, the Horned Frogs ’ record is currently 1-2 with their lone victory coming in Austin against the Texas Longhorns .

Since Lincoln Riley was named OU’s head coach, he’s 4-0 versus Gary Patterson. Additionally, the Sooners have won six straight in the series dating back to the 2015 season.

For their efforts this week, junior RB T.J. Pledger and sophomore LB David Ugwoegbu were named Big 12 Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively. Pledger had career highs of 131 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Ugwoegbu came up with a crucial punt block in the second quarter to set up an OU TD. Additionally, Ugwoegbu registered a career-high six tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a QB hurry

ESPN’s Dave Wilson took note of the unusual atmosphere at this year’s Red River Showdown from Sooners and Longhorns fans who attended the historic rivalry game. Without the Texas State Fair serving as the backdrop, things only became stranger from there as the day wore on. Still, it seems like it was a memorable experience, and certainly an enjoyable one for those dressed in Crimson & Cream.

On Sunday, Baker Mayfield and Cleveland Browns continued their hot streak, winning their fourth straight game over the Indianapolis Colts , 32-23. Mayfield completed 21 of 37 passes for 247 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also added 17 rushing yards on a pair of carries. The Browns are now 4-1 to start the season for the first time since 1994.

Dallas Cowboys rookie WR CeeDee Lamb set career-highs in a 37-34 win over the New York Giants with eight receptions for 124 yards. Heading into week six, Lamb ’s 433 receiving yards ranks fifth among receivers in the NFL.

Kyler Murray was sensational for the Arizona Cardinals once again in a 30-10 win over the New York Jets . In total, K1 recorded 411 yards of total offense and two TDs, including this 37-yard laser to star WR DeAndre Hopkins . The Cards are now 3-2 through five weeks of 2020.

The Baltimore Ravens dominated the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, 27-3, and TE Mark Andrews was a key component to his team’s offensive success. In total, he amassed 56 yards and one touchdown on six catches.

Around the Sports World

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott underwent successful ankle surgery on Monday morning after suffering a gruesome injury in Sunday’s 37-34 win over the New York Giants . Prescott is expected to miss the remainder of the 2020 NFL season.

After starting the season with an abysmal 0-5 record, the Atlanta Falcons fired head coach Dan Quinn and announced defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as their interim HC .

The Oklahoma State Cowboys ’ upcoming game against the Baylor Bears has been rescheduled from this Saturday to Dec. 12 due to a significant increase in COVID-19 related absences from within the BU program.

Kansas State Wildcats fifth-year senior QB Skylar Thompson has been ruled out for the remainder of the college football season with an unspecified upper body injury.

After four seasons with the Chicago White Sox , the organization and manager Rick Renteria have mutually agreed to part ways . During his time in Chicago, the White Sox went 236-309 and qualified for the MLB postseason once.
