While fans usually like to look for takeaways following an individual game, the hope is that there are zero takeaways from this one. We’re looking for fewer penalties and no injuries. That’s it. If a “storyline” comes from this game, it will probably be negative, and I’d strongly prefer to enter Nebraska week with some positive energy. I guess I’d like to see Spencer Rattler step into his throws a bit more. If he’s being tentative against Western Carolina —which, by the way, is probably the worst FCS squad OU has faced in quite some time — I’ll be a little worried.

Anyway, if you’re tailgating today, stay in the shade. It’s gonna be a hot one. Honor Tom Herman’s memory and drink plenty of water.

Also, make sure to be in your seats early, because we’re getting a flyover.
