Oklahoma State national champion wrestler AJ Ferrari was involved in a car accident Monday.

Ferrari’s father, AJ Ferrari Sr., shared a post on Facebook on Monday. An OSU spokesperson told PFB the university was “aware of the situation.”

“Everyone please get on your knees and pray for AJ Jr.,” Ferrari Sr. wrote. “I have no details but he got into a bad wreck.”

Ferrari was in Cushing on Monday, making an appearance at a youth practice.

He won a national championship as a true freshman last season at 197 pounds, becoming the third true freshman in program history to win a national title. He went 20-1 in his true freshman season. Ferrari is the No. 1 wrestler at 197 pounds this season and is 10-0 on the year, having most recently defeated Lehigh’s JT Davis on Sunday via major decision.

PFB will update this post as more information becomes available.
