When the Cowboys take the field at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, they’ll do so in style.
Oklahoma State is donning a nice road look, an orange-white-orange combination, capped with a Cursive Cowboys helmet.
This should absolutely pop juxtaposed against the Mountaineers’ white-blue-white look.
This is the same color combo and helmet scheme the Cowboys wore against Baylor in Waco last season. That game ended in a 42-3 OSU win. This look mirrors that one against the Bears all the way down to the white/black stripe and black facemask on the helmet.
Hopefully that helmet continues to bring good luck.
This is just the second time we’ve seen the orange Cursive Cowboys lid, and third for that font overall. All three were road games. OSU unveiled a white Cursive Cowboys helmet in last year’s win at Kansas State. The Cowboys will look to make it 3-0 all-time in this font on Saturday.
OSU is 2-1 while wearing O-W-O, with the latest game being that 2020 win over Baylor. The only other times the Cowboys have worn this color scheme in the new uni era were a 2012 loss to K-State and a 2013 win over UTSA.
