Last week, the Big 12 released the coaches’ selections for the All-Big 12 awards; it was the media’s turn on Thursday.

Oklahoma State had four players on the AP’s All-Big 12 First Team: Josh Sills, Malcolm Rodriguez, Jarrick Bernard-Converse and Kolby Harvell-Peel. Tay Martin, Brock Martin, Collin Oliver and Christian Holmes made the AP’s All-Big 12 Second Team.

The Cowboys had six players on the coaches’ First Team last week, as Brock Martin was a first teamer with quarterback Spencer Sanders. Sanders didn’t make the first or second team in the media vote. Iowa State’s Brock Purdy was the first-team QB, and Oklahoma’s Caleb Williams was named to the AP’s All-Big 12 Second Team.

Mike Gundy was the coaches’ Coach of the Year, but the AP bestowed that honor to Baylor’s Dave Aranda.

Coach of the year — Dave Aranda, Baylor.
