Recruiting Roundup: Oklahoma State Sends Out Future Offers, Hosting Visits This Weekend

January 20, 2022

With the transfer portal, the coaching carousel and good ole fashioned recruiting, the football calendar never truly stops.

Here is something on the latter of those three. Oklahoma State is set to host some prospects this weekend, and with the Cowboy coaches out on the road, here is a look at some players who were recently offered.

Upcoming Visits

Stephon Johnson, 2022, WR: The Cowboys might not be quite done with their 2022 class after three-star receiver Stephon Johnson got back on the market. From DeSoto, Texas, Johnson was an Oregon commit, but he decommitted earlier this month. Listed at 6-foot, 175 pounds, Johnson is the No. 522 player in the 2022 class and also has offers from USC, Ole Miss, Penn State, Arkansas and others.

Trey Wilson, 2023, DL: Wilson is athletic for his 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame, and it won’t be the first time he visits Stillwater, as he was also in town for the Cowboys’ 63-17 victory against TCU and was on another visit in June. From Garland, Texas, Wilson blew up last winter, receiving offers from OSU, Baylor, and Kansas in two days. He recently took a visit to Arkansas and also boasts offers from Michigan, Texas Tech, Ole Miss and others.

Rohan Fluellen, 2023, ATH (WR/DB): A Gilmer, Texas standout, Fluellen has yet to announce an OSU offer, but he already has offers from Tennessee, Wisconsin, Houston and others. Listed at 6-foot, 170 pounds, he had eight interceptions, 1,420 receiving yards and 11 receiving touchdowns as a junior.

Recent Offers

Colton Vasek, 2023, EDGE: A 6-foot-6, 230-pound edge rusher from Austin-Westlake, Vasek is the No. 340 player in the 2023 class, and for good reason. He had 10 sacks, 16 tackles for loss and a pair of forced fumbles as a junior for a team that went 16-0 and won the Texas 6A-D2 State Championship. Along with this OSU offer, Vasek also has offers from Oklahoma, USC, Ole Miss, Baylor and others.

Jadon Porter, 2024, ATH (DB/WR): Listed at 6-foot, 170 pounds, Porter had 1,265 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns as a high school sophomore, and he also ran for three scores. He plays for Lorena High, just southwest of Waco. He was part of a team that went 14-2 and won the Texas 3A-D1 State Championship this past season. Porter mentioned OSU corners coach Tim Duffie in his offer announcement, meaning OSU is likely after him as a defender right now.

Kelvion Riggins, 2025, LB: One for the future, South Oak Cliff linebacker Kelvion Riggins already boasts offers from Miami, Arizona, SMU and Oklahoma State despite being in his freshman year of high school. He is already listed at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds. Based on his highlights, it would appear as if he played freshman ball this fall (because, ya know, he is a freshman), and he was an absolute safety hazard.
